Autorità Nazionale Anticorruzione tracks information in the Italian National Database of Public Contracts.

The Autorità Nazionale Anticorruzione (ANAC) is an independent administrative authority set up in 2012 to combat corruption in Italian public administrative activity. Public administrations are obliged by a 2012 law to release all annual data on public procurement as XML files to ANAC by January 31st of the subsequent year. ANAC publishes these data in OCDS format for all public procurement contracts worth over €40,000. The data are updated monthly on the 2nd of the month.

The dataset has quality issues to take into account, notably:

  • There are around 1.5k releases without an OCID. These are not included in the data downloads.
  • A minority of releases are missing all relevant tags to describe the stages of the contracting process.
  • A minority of releases are missing contract/id and contract/awardID values.
  • A minority of releases have inconsistencies between their award/id and contract/awardID.
  • A minority of releases have incorrectly formatted contracts/amendments/date. These are missing the time portion of the date-time format.
  • A minority of releases have inconsistent dates within the tenderPeriod or contractPeriod objects. These are due to errors in the data provided to ANAC by the contracting authorities.
  • A minority of releases have organization names that are likely erroneous, for example, they are blank or consist entirely of punctuation. As with the inconsistent dates, this is due to errors in the data provided to ANAC by the contracting authorities.
  • Change history is not available, as there is only a single release per procurement process.
