Германия: Procurement Office of the Federal Ministry of the Interior (BMI)
The Federal Ministry of the Interior and Home Affairs and the Procurement Office of the Federal Ministry of the Interior publish public procurement information on the Publication Service portal.
The Publication Service is the central portal for searching for notices of public contracting authorities from the Federal Government, the Länder and local authorities. Since 25 October 2023, tender notices for EU-wide public procurement procedures have to be submitted in a structured format to the EU’s Public Procurement Data Service. Notices of award procedures below the EU thresholds may have a lower data quality.
The portal is mainly used to increase competition and provide a level playing field for the private sector, as well as providing a central repository for anyone interested in public procurement. Data is available via an API and updated on a monthly basis. The data publication also covers information on the contract stage for a portion of the published procurement processes. The responsibility for the accuracy of individual notices rests with the respective tender-issuing organization.
The publication policy provides information about the intended uses of the data, how data is generated, how to access data, and how to provide feedback. However, it does not describe the data scope, or any exclusions or omissions.

The dataset has quality issues to take into account, notably:
- Tender identifiers are missing for a large number of contracting processes
- Some releases contain identical release identifiers within the same contracting process
- Some releases are missing contract identifiers
- There are instances where within the same contracting process, there are duplicate contract identifiers
- Tender description and lot description fields contain lengthy text retrieved from tender documents, instead of a brief summary
